On Call Advocate for Emergency Shelter
The responsibilities of the advocate are: shelter security, crisis phone, case management, court advocacy and networking. This person must have an ability to work with people from a diverse cultural background and experience with women's issues. Advocates provide services to victims and survivors of domestic violence.
On Call Advocate is a part time position. $11/hourly
Safe Harbor Advocate On Call
The responsibilities of the Safe Harbor Advocate are:
To provide supervision of program residents at Safe Harbor Shelter for sexually exploited and trafficked youth on site and in the community to ensure their safety and well-being.
To provide safety planning and crisis intervention
To foster a safe and positive living environment at the shelter assisting with disputes and conflict resolution
Maintaining accuracy and completion of all forms, records, and data collection
Security of shelter and residents
Confidentiality of all client information and data.
Degree in compatible field or equivalent life or work experience
Sufficient mediation skills to maintain a calm environment and positive interaction
Understanding the root causes of violence against youth/women
To work with people from diverse cultural, social and economic backgrounds.
Full time day $15.50/hourly. Full benefits
On Call. $11/hr.
