Both shelters have well-trained, 24 hour, advocate and security staff. Our staff is multi-culture and multi-lingual. Advocates provide help with accessing community resources, court and welfare advocacy, transportation, accompaniment to appointments, help in finding affordable housing, and referral to employment and education services.
We have no
residency requirement. The length of stay depends on the woman's safety
needs. We welcome immigrant battered women and their children and if we
can't speak your language, we will find someone who can.
